What the clothes I wear say about me

Clothes were always very important to me. Shopping is like my number one medicine for depression or a bad day, some people say tat food makes them feel better but it was always clothes shopping that did it for me. How possibly could food be better than the feel of a new silk dress against your skin? There's one thing that clothes and food have in common ; they leave you wanting more and suddenly you are trapped in a voracious cycle. Therefore I am self-confessed shopaholic.

The clothes I wear make me feel confident as I express myself through fashion.Fashion for me is so much more than just clothes. It is like a get-away from it all, a sense of escape from daily and dull life.I spend days looking through fashion magazines and watching catwalk shows admiring the haute couture collections. Haute couture is like a piece of art in a form of a dress or any clothing item, that you can wear and feel fabulous but that comes in a price.

My outfit represents how I feel, usually my outfit would be minimal but if I felt girly and the weather outside is perfect I'd go for a head-to-toe pastel look. There's lots of combinations that could transform you into a totally different person; toy can be a girly girl wearing ice-cream coloured pleated skirt, white frilly socks, peter pan collar shirt and a pair of pink suede miu miu heels or a grunge kid in a fur-trimmed parka, high waisted black jeans, oversize nirvana t-shirt and doc martens. It all depends on how you feel that day.

I have a horrible habit of judging people for what they are wearing. Knowing all the fashion trends and fashion sins automatically makes me look for flaws in an outfit. I know that people look at my outfits and do the same, but their understanding of fashion can me different or sometimes inaccurate.

Clothes are a big factor in making a good impression, hence I never ever wear tracksuit bottoms or sweatshirts outside the gym. no matter how comfortable they are, tracksuit has a word 'track' in it for a reason and it is not to wear it everywhere, Let's not forget that wearing the right clothes increase your chances in making friends with the right people which will be benefit in the future.

The clothes I wear say that i am probably a little too obsessed with fashion, but it is not so much of an obsession anymore, it is my life and hopefully I will have a career in a fashion industry, then i would be truly happy.
